Balancing being a good Christian while pursuing your goals can be difficult experience. You find yourself asking the question, "Can I make plans as a Christian woman?"

You are not alone.

Many women struggle with guilt when they talk about their big ideas and dreams, feeling that their faith and ambition are incompatible. Over time this has made you prioritize everything else except those dreams and ideas God has laid on your own heart.

But the Bible says otherwise. You and I are uniquely created by God, and He has a plan for each of our lives. Here are 5 biblical reasons and verses to help you break free from guilt and embrace the power of godly planning:

      1. Divine Purpose - Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God has a good plan for each of us, and aligning our goals with His plans helps us fulfill His divine purpose for our lives.

      2. Divine Support - Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that while we can plan our lives, it is ultimately God who establishes the outcome. Trusting in His support and guidance can give us confidence to set big goals and pursue our dreams.

      3. Divine Clarity - Writing down your goals brings clarity, as Habakkuk 2:2 says, "And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it." Writing down your goals helps clarify your vision and focus on what you want to achieve. One study, published in the “Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition found that when participants wrote about their thoughts and feelings on a given topic for 20 minutes, they had better mental clarity than those who did not write.

      4. Wise Preparation - Luke 14:28 says, "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?" Be mindful of the resources you have and plan accordingly to achieve your goals.

      5. Divine Opportunity - Psalm 20:4 says, "May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans." God wants to fulfill our desires and help us achieve our goals. When we trust in Him, He will guide us to success.

Planning is not only acceptable, but also encouraged in the Bible. By inviting God into the process and trusting in His plan, we can be confident that He will help us achieve our goals. Stay tuned for more bible-based tips on aligning your life with God's plans.
